Request a sender ID

POST/sms-api/requestSenderId

Submit a new sender ID for approval. Approval is manual and usually completes within one business day; poll the list endpoint for the status.

Names containing network or mobile money brand words (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo, MoMo, BulkClix) are rejected.
Limited to 60 requests per hour.

Parameters

namestringrequired
The sender ID as it will appear on the handset. Up to 11 characters.
descstringrequired
What the sender ID will be used for. Shown to the reviewer.
